About Me

My name: Andra W.

Find me on the Leaderboard: ladywrider

I've been a Peloton Member since: 2019

I use the: Bike and App

My occupation: New York Times bestselling author and speaker

To introduce myself: Married to my soulmate. Never met a destination I didn't like. Hiked an ancient highway (15 miles a day for 34 days) and wrote a book about it. Champion sleeper. Currently writer-in-residence in Skagastrond, Iceland.

A recent fitness achievement I'm proud of: I'm working toward a split pose in my yoga practice. I recently got to the lowest setting on my block.

My most frequently taken class: I try not to repeat.

My advice to other Peloton Members: Explore the App. Try classes you think you might not like. The combination makes for well-rounded fitness.

My Favorite...

  • Instructors: The entire yoga and meditation team!

  • Recovery day class: Restorative yoga

  • Class playlist genre: On the Bike, I'm an 80s girl.

  • Post-workout snack: Usually water, but since I'm on a writing residency right now, I have potato chips and work out again.

  • Time to work out: 11 AM

MONDAY

  1. 20 min 80s Ride with Christine D'Ercole

  2. 5 min Post Ride Stretch with Emma Lovewell

  3. 45 min Yoga Flow with Anna Greenberg

  4. 10 min Acceptance Meditation with Ross Rayburn

I usually ride before I practice yoga. A quick 20-minute 80s ride with Christine D'Ercole and a 5-minute post-ride stretch with Emma Lovewell led me into a 45-minute intermediate yoga flow with Anna Greenberg. Since it was the day before the election, I ended with a 10-minute acceptance meditation with Ross Rayburn.

TUESDAY

  1. 30 min Pride: Broadway Ride with Sam Yo

  2. 5 min Post-Ride Stretch with Kendall Toole

  3. 30 min Steve Martin Yoga Flow with Kristin McGee

  4. 5 min Peace Meditation with Ross Rayburn

To calm Election Day jitters, I took my favorite ride of all time: Sam Yo's 30-minute Pride: Broadway Ride. Scream-singing "This Is Me" while I can't breathe makes me believe I can do anything. I followed it with a 5-minute post-ride stretch with Kendall Toole. Kristin McGee's 30-minute Steve Martin yoga flow gave me a chill vibe, and I added her 10-minute restorative yoga for more calm. I finished the day with a 5-minute peace meditation with Ross Rayburn. I'm sure it kept me from drinking while hitting refresh on my browser.

WEDNESDAY

  1. 15 min 80s Ride with Robin Arzón

  2. 5 min Post-Ride Stretch with Tunde Oyeneyin

  3. 30 min Slow Flow with Aditi Shah

  4. 10 min Yoga Flow with Aditi Shah

  5. 10 min Happiness Meditation with Aditi Shah

The day after the election, I craved Robin Arzon's positive fierceness. I did her 15-minute 80s ride and a 5-minute post-ride stretch with Tunde Oyeneyin. Yoga was a 30-minute slow flow with Aditi Shah followed by a 10-minute intermediate yoga flow, also with Aditi. I finished with Aditi's 10-minute happiness meditation and am convinced it kept me from day-drinking.

THURSDAY

Morning

  1. 30 min Power Yoga with Chelsea Jackson Roberts

  2. 10 min Yoga Flow with Chelsea Jackson Roberts

  3. 20 min Calming Meditation with Anna Greenberg

Evening

  1. 30 min Reset Ride with Denis Morton

  2. 5 min Post-Ride Stretch with Jess King

Because the live yoga classes were early, I switched things up. I started with a 30-minute power yoga flow with Chelsea Jackson Roberts and tacked on Chelsea's 10-minute intermediate yoga flow for more stretch. Anna Greenberg's 20-minute calming meditation helped with continuing election stress. That evening, I hopped on the bike for Denis Morton's 30-minute Reset ride, followed by a 5-minute post-ride stretch with Jess King.

FRIDAY

  1. 45 min Yoga Flow with Ross Rayburn

  2. 10 min Restorative with Ross Rayburn

  3. 15 min Sleep Meditation with Ross Rayburn

Technically, Friday was my rest day. I took Ross Rayburn's 45-minute intermediate yoga flow and dialed back the intensity to suit my gentler purposes. I stayed on the mat for an extra 10-minute restorative yoga with Ross, and I finished with his 15-minute sleep meditation and a nap. Because seriously, what's rest day without a nap?

SATURDAY

  1. 30 min Pop Ride with Cody Rigsby

  2. 30 min Power Yoga with Anna Greenberg

  3. 10 min Yoga Basics: Splits with Anna Greenberg

  4. 10 min Patience Meditation with Anna Greenberg

What's the antidote to still having no election result? Cody Rigsby dressed as a spandex candy corn. His 30-minute pop ride blasted out my booger-ass energy, and I stayed with him for a 5-minute post-ride stretch. Anna Greenberg's 30-minute power yoga was my 350th yoga class. Afterward, I spent 10 minutes with Anna working on my split in a yoga basics class. As Anna's 10-minute patience meditation started, my phone blew up with messages. BUT I WAS PATIENT. I finished class before finding out the election result.

SUNDAY

  1. 60 min Yoga Flow with Denis Morton

  2. 10 min Empathy Meditation with Kristen McGee

  3. 20 min Low Impact Ride with Leanne Hainsby

  4. 5 min Post-Ride Stretch with Ben Alldis

I started my Sunday with Denis Morton's juicy 60-minute yoga flow. His classes always focus on forward-facing poses I tend to avoid. I tacked on Kristin McGee's 10-minute empathy meditation. That evening, I got my sparkle on with Leanne Hainsby in a 20-minute low impact ride and finished with Ben Alldis and a 5-minute post-ride stretch.
