Meet Breanna Stewart, Peloton’s first WNBA Ambassador. Breanna “Stewie” Stewart is a power forward with the New York Liberty, in her 7th WNBA season, a two-time Kia WNBA MVP, two-time WNBA Finals MVP, three-time WNBA Champion, and a three-time Olympic Gold Medalist for Team USA. And as 2016 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year, she knows a thing or two about the path to greatness.

Beyond all the accolades, she’s also an advocate for equality, a mother of two, and has worked to destigmatize conversations around fertility in the workplace.

As part of Peloton Member Month, we’re honoring who we’re made of. Behind every Member there’s a memorable story—including Members who are trailblazing pro-athletes. Watch the video below to learn more about Breanna’s journey as a Peloton Member since 2020 and how Peloton moves her.

Overcoming Obstacles

While obstacles may seem like roadblocks, Breanna proves that setbacks don’t mean you have to rewrite your story. Sidelined by a ruptured Achilles tendon, she thought her career was over. But, she found a way to flip the script. “Sometimes bad things happen. And it's the way that you react to that. I want to make sure that it didn't change my path. It only made it better.”

And overcoming that obstacle not only inspired greatness in her, but helped her set an example for others. “To show a young girl who hopes to be in the WNBA that if you go through something hard like that, you can still make it. I'm meant to do hard things.”

“I hope to be a role model to many. But now I’m a role model to my kids.”

Breanna’s Peloton Member Journey

Breanna first joined Peloton in 2020 after finding herself in a workout rut. “I was doing the same workouts, I was working out outside, I was doing these random things that you would never be doing. I needed a change,” she said. When she’s using Peloton for her workouts she says, “I have this feeling where my potential seems like it's limitless. I get to lock in on trying to be at the top of the Leaderboard. That's why you play. You play to compete, you play to win. What I want my greatness to be perceived as is a winner. How can I grow? How can I be better? I want to be the best that has ever done it."
