The hallmark of good hospitality is its ability to make guests feel at home—comfortable, cared for, their needs anticipated, met, and even surpassed. One way to do that is by embracing the rituals that make them feel their best, especially when they’re out of their everyday routines. Peloton Bikes help travelers stick to healthy habits, customize their favorite workouts, and get a good sweat in while on the go. Just take it from these luxury hotels—from New York’s Central Park to the Bavarian Mountains—leveling up their wellness offerings and making guests’ stays all the more rejuvenating with Peloton on property.
Thompson Central Park New York
Modern luxury defines Thompson Central Park New York’s approach to hospitality. In this Hyatt hotel, a sleek high-rise just south of New York City’s iconic Central Park, guests enjoy best-in-class cuisine, awe-inspiring views, and sumptuous accommodations—including a dedicated Peloton Bike studio with five Bikes. The studio, which has been open to guests since the hotel’s grand opening in November 2021, has been invaluable to visitors looking to keep up with their workout goals while traveling, says director of sales and marketing Amanda Reed. And it’s been a big draw for discerning travelers. “Our property is guided by Hyatt’s purpose of care, which is simple,” she says. “We want our guests to be at their best. We’re learning, especially post-pandemic, that wellness amenities and programming are becoming a leading consideration in our guests’ decision-making when selecting a hotel.”
Thompson Central Park New York advertises its Peloton Bike studio to guests ahead of their stay in pre-arrival emails and has hosted influencer stays, with creators like Melissa Ferrara of @momsofpeloton, to get the word out about the hotel’s fitness offerings. Should you bring the Peloton Bike to your hotel? “Do it!,” says Reed. Theirs have proven a big draw for many. “We know faithful and engaged Peloton Members are making travel decisions based on hotels that have Peloton Bikes,” says Reed. “We’ve also had guests and colleagues alike become hooked after experiencing a ride here!”
The hotel promotes wellness for its guests even beyond its Peloton studio. It offers a full fitness center with weights, yoga mats, and treadmills, in addition to a Drybar salon for post-workout blowouts so guests can step out into the city looking and feeling their best. Televisions in guest rooms feature instructions on how Peloton Members can stream the Peloton App, for those who may prefer a stretching or strengthening workout in the comfort and privacy of their own room. Guests are even encouraged to use their Peloton App Membership off-property, should they decide to take a guided walk or run through Central Park with their favorite instructor. “As a long-time Peloton Member, I’m incredibly proud to be able to bring the Bike, platform, and community to our guests,” says Reed. “And our guests have been thrilled to have the opportunity to stay consistent with their workouts while they travel.”
Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, Avon
Guests that check in to the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, Avon in Colorado’s scenic Vail Valley expect the best when it comes to relaxation and wellness. With access to stunning mountain views, world-class ski slopes, and one of the best spas in the world per Condé Nast Traveler, the mountain resort puts a huge emphasis on wellness. “We are a haven for active travelers,” says Jen Razee, director of club and spa. “We want you to play and enjoy our beautiful mountain activities, and recover and restore with us.”
Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa has offered Peloton Bikes in its state-of-the-art fitness center since 2016, which Razee says has been a huge draw for visitors. “We’ve seen our members and guests truly become devotees to certain instructors and utilize the platform nearly every day,” she says. “Having access to seven Peloton Bikes really differentiates us from our competitors locally and positions us to capture the active traveler who wants to maintain their fitness through their vacation in the mountains.”
The hotel actively advertises its fitness offerings online and in marketing materials. And it’s clear that many guests think about and look forward to the Peloton offering as a component of their travel preparations. “Our guests don’t want to miss a workout,” says Razee. The hotel frequently receives calls from visitors in advance of their stays who plan to pack their own cycling cleats. (Fortunately, commercial Peloton Bike pedals can support SPD cycling shoes and standard athletic shoes alike, so appropriate footwear is never a barrier between guests and the workout they want.)
The Westin Riverfront also factors atmosphere and ambience into its Peloton fitness offering. Travelers can even enjoy the hotel’s scenic surroundings while taking a ride: The Peloton Bikes are perfectly aligned in front of floor-to-ceiling windows that help bring the outside in. So, not only do guests get to break a sweat with their favorite instructors—they also get to experience the beauty around them in the process. And they can do it on their own terms. “The Athletic Club at the Westin used to offer onsite spin and cycling classes, but the customization available with Peloton is unsurpassed,” Razee says. “Peloton has allowed our members and guests to really personalize their workout experience.”
Klosterhof Alpine Hideaway and Spa
While staying at Klosterhof—a spa hotel in Germany’s Berchtesgaden mountains—guests experience a rich history alongside modern amenities. The resort, opened in 2016, served as a monastery from 1500 to 1800 where Augustinian monks tended gardens rife with herbal remedies. Today, it’s a place where travelers can prioritize their wellbeing with steam baths and saunas in Artemacur Spa, outdoor excursions through the alps, and Peloton Bikes that are a part of the hotel’s fitness offerings. Putting extra emphasis on wellness, recovery, and restoration, Klosterhof’s facility is not your typical hotel gym, spanning four distinct studios, a full-service fitness center, and spa.
Klosterhof added two Peloton Bikes to its facilities last year with the aim of enhancing its overall wellness amenities. One is found in the hotel gym, and the other is available for guests to rent for private room use—some guests even use the Peloton Bike on their private suite balcony to be able to enjoy the fresh mountain air while breaking a sweat with their favorite instructor. The Peloton Bikes have enhanced guest experiences by “providing access to additional high-quality fitness equipment and convenient workout options in addition to our in-house sports and fitness course program,” says Klosterhof marketing and communications manager Lisa-Marie Standi.
Guests are welcome to book a Peloton Bike through Klosterhof’s website and app, as well as onsite at reception and the spa. The Bikes have been a big draw for fitness-lovers who want to get a good workout in, when they’re not enjoying the hotel’s many luxurious spa treatments. Some Peloton users choose to book a stay at the hotel after finding it through the Peloton Hotel Finder, says Standi—though the prospect isn’t just intriguing to existing users: “Many guests have never been in touch with Peloton before, but find the concept exciting and test it for the first time at our hotel.”
