Joslyn Thompson-Rule and Jon Hosking Join the UK Tread Instructor Team
Make new strides with your newest running (and walking!) buddies.
Instant success. It sounds good, doesn’t it? Who wouldn’t want to rock up and work out for maximum results, minimum effort?
Of course, we know that nothing’s that easy in fitness. We know that getting where you want to be requires quite a bit of sweat, a dash of dedication, and a real drive to succeed.
But isn’t that what makes it so great? It’s a thrill being able to go on a fitness journey and discover so much about our minds and bodies and willpower. To see yourself getting a step closer, session by session, until one day you look back and realise where you started is miles behind.
That’s an attitude our two newest Peloton instructors, Joslyn Thompson-Rule and Jon Hosking, would surely appreciate. Both of them have shown great strength, determination and grit to achieve big things in their lives, and we can’t wait for them to inspire you too. Who knows where you can go together?
Let’s introduce you.
When your whole life is side-hustles
Multi-talented Joslyn is a sports therapist, master trainer, podcaster (Fitness Unfiltered; check it out!), author and mom. Sometimes all at the same time. Phew.
As someone who’s made the jump from beginner to pro, she’s well-placed to take you on a training journey and help you hit those targets. In fact, her whole career has been based around coaching others to hit their goals while looking after their bodies. It’s an approach that means getting to grips with a more long-term view, or as Joslyn puts it, "playing the long game with your body, coaching, and business."
Her classes are spaces where you’re free to move without judgment, whether it’s your first workout or your one thousandth. Joslyn is all about encouraging you to show up unapologetically as you are and discover the power to be your own change.
After all, you can do anything you set your mind to, given a little time and dedication.
Paintings, penalties and PBs
Painting has always played an important role in Jon’s life, giving him great peace of mind as well as an outlet to express himself. It was painting that took him to university, where during his History of Art degree he became President of the football club. He’s always loved being part of a team, the strength of community and creating something together. If you’ve ever taken a class with Jon, you can’t help but feel like you’re part of a club.
Jon’s creative journey took him into the world of fashion where he worked for many years for some of the world’s leading fashion houses. But after spending so long in front of the camera, he found himself using fitness to chase the impossible. The pressure to look or appear a certain way meant he was punishing himself in the gym where he was encouraged to train for aesthetics, but it often did little for his overall wellness and self-esteem.
Now, Jon exercises with happiness and self-love at the absolute forefront. His infectious positive approach to working out is based in gratitude and celebration. His ethos: we’re lucky to have these bodies so let’s celebrate what they are capable of. With fun at the heart of his classes, he’s curated an environment where you feel as celebrated as you are energised, and as challenged as you are safe.
Making the most of our time
Both of our Instructors know the value of taking the time to improve and looking after your most precious asset: your body. But don’t take it from us: get to know them a little better by joining them on their Premiere Runs.
They’ll be coming live from our new studio in London – join them at the start of their Peloton journey here.
