Shop Peloton
Ask any Peloton Member what they appreciate about popping onto the Bike, taking a yoga or strength class or downloading an outdoor walk/run, and they’re likely to say the diverse playlists. From 70s and 80s rock to hip hop and club hits, there’s something for everyone.
Our Artist Series classes—a collection of Bike, Tread and app classes focused on the catalogue of one musical act—play a big role in that. In just the past few months, instructors have showcased artists such as Outkast, The Beatles and The Chicks. But there are many other Artist Series workouts that go back years and include playlists from stars of the 70s, 80s and 90s, and acts you may be happy to discover—or rediscover. Here are some that may be worth checking out, whether you already crushed them once or missed them the first time round. (Remember, all of these—and the rest of our Artist Series classes—can be found under the Collections tab on the Bike, Tread and Peloton App.)
When You Need a Boost of Confidence
“The first Artist Series ride I took was Lizzo with Robin,” says Tina Sawyer of Charlotte, North Carolina. “At the time, I did not know who Lizzo was, but if Robin was instructing the ride, it was going to be tough and memorable. I have taken that ride six more times. I take it when I need to feel like a badass, when I need a pick-me-up and when I need Robin to tell me I'm a queen!”
In addition to Robin Arzon’s 30-minute ride, you’ll also find Jess Sims’ 30-minute Lizzo Fun Run. “I love the Lizzo run on the Tread with Jess Sims,” says Terrie Staring of Scarborough, Maine. “Lizzo is all about self-love, self confidence and girl power.”
When You’re Feeling a Little Country
Nashville music fans, rejoice! You can get your run, cycle and yoga on to the hits of country star Keith Urban. You’ll find “Superman” and “Somebody Like You” on Matt Wilpers’ 30-Minute Keith Urban Run, “Days Go By” on Hannah Corbin’s 30-Minute Keith Urban Ride and “We Were” with Eric Church on Kristin McGee’s Keith Urban Yoga Flow. No cowboy boots required.
Other Artist Series You Might Like: Dolly Parton, Mickey Guyton, The Chicks
When You’re Craving Latin Music
“I love the Artist Series,” says Judy Vargas of the San Francisco Bay area. “One in particular I was pleased to see was the Celia Cruz Artist Series. I’m a Latina woman, a Puerto Rican, and grew up with Latin music in my home. It’s in my blood. The music touches my soul. Having this representation from Peloton, that reaches all communities, is just another reason why I love Peloton.”
Other Artist Series You Might Like: Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Ricky Martin, Shakira
When You Love Pop
“The Artist Series that I truly enjoyed was Prince,” says Brian Albright of Lambertville, Michigan. “Just for the fact that Prince is such an icon and covers all genres of music including rock, dance, funk and rap. Having Ally Love and Emma Lovewell lead the ride took it to another level!”
Other Artist Series You Might Like: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Beyoncé, The Weeknd, Ms. Lauryn Hill
When You PR to Rap
If flow and delivery get your heart pumping, you’ve got plenty of single-artist rides to choose from. Tunde Oyeneyin’s 30-minute A$AP Ferg Ride features hits such as “Jet Lag” and “Runnin.”
Other Artist Series You Might Like: Common, Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion
When You’re a Child of the 70s and 80s
“I was so happy when the artist collaborations were announced,” says Michelle Brookman of Los Angeles, California. “My most memorable ride was the Billy Joel ride with Jenn Sherman. Her passion for the music adds a whole extra layer to the experience.”
Other Artist Series You Might Like: Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Cher, Paul McCartney & Wings, Whitney Houston, Melissa Etheridge
