CLEVELAND BROWNS’ AND REIGNING DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR MYLES GARRETT AND WNBA ALL-STAR BRIONNA JONES JOIN PELOTON THIS MAY FOR MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH
Peloton Mobilizes Community and Beyond to Make Every Move Count, Logging 20 Million Minutes to Support Project Healthy Minds and Mental Health Advocacy
This May, Peloton will unite our community for a cause. Join us all month, for Mental Health Awareness Month, as we make every move count towards our mental health. Movement is a form of mindfulness, taking shape in many forms - small steps can create big change. Peloton is making every move count for Mental Health Awareness Month with impactful partners and dynamic programming. Feel the impact of each minute you put in everyday and make every move count.
Starting on Friday May 17 at 12:30pm EST, Peloton and special friends including Cleveland Browns’ Myles Garrett and the Connecticut Suns’ Brionna Jones are encouraging Members and beyond to come together as a unified community. Join the 20 Million Minutes Challenge, a 24 hour community challenge with the goal of logging 20 million collective minutes on the Peloton platform in support of Project Healthy Minds. Peloton is proud to support Project Healthy Minds, a Millennial and Gen Z-driven mental health tech non-profit that is expanding access to mental health services by building the world's first free digital mental health marketplace and partnering with culture-makers to destigmatize mental health.
As a finale moment, Peloton will program special LIVE Two-for-One classes on May 18. These two classes (count yourself in HERE!) will encourage the Peloton community to move their bodies to achieve this collective goal:
30 Minute 20 Million Minutes Challenge Two-for-One Walk + Run with Alex Toussaint and Adrian Williams at 11:30am EST
30 Minute 20 Million Minutes Challenge Two-for-One Ride with Tunde Oyeneyin and Camila Ramón at Noon EST
Friends of Peloton including New York Jets Linebacker Jermaine Johnson, New York Jets Defensive Tackle Quincy Williams, New York Jets Running Back Breece Hall, New York Giants Linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux and Philadelphia Eagles Cornerback James Bradberry IV will be live at Peloton Studios NY and virtually on the Leaderboard on May 18 to support the cause and the 20 Million Minutes Challenge. Said Myles Garrett: “My love of movement runs deeper than just the physical aspect. Moving my body also helps clear my mind and positively impacts my overall health and mental wellbeing. Supporting Peloton to help drive awareness and destigmatize mental health as we all move our bodies as a community, is something I feel truly passionate about.”
Each Two-for-One class will also live on the Peloton platform on demand. Peloton will be programming additional Mental Health Awareness classes across the globe during the month of May, encouraging Members and beyond to fuel their bodies and minds with the support of Peloton’s global community. Classes will range from Cycling, Tread, Row, Strength and Meditation, as well as a new Yin Yoga series “Creating Space,” taught by Kirra Michel and featuring special guest Peloton instructors, which requires no equipment.
As music is a vital part of the Peloton experience, it was a natural extension for brand partner Warner Music Group to align efforts. This May, Warner Music Group will be Peloton’s Community Partner for Mental Health Awareness Month. To bring to life the power of music and movement, Peloton and Warner Music Group are co-curating playlists for various Peloton classes throughout the month and preparing a special "Mindful Music" playlist that will be available to the public on the Peloton and Warner Music Group Spotify accounts.
