About Me
My name: Tatiyana B.

I've been a Peloton Member since: 2020
My occupation: National Account Manager at BCBSMA; Full-time and first-time mom and wife
To introduce myself: I am 30 years old and a proud member of #PelotonBoston #PelotonMoms #BGM. My mantra since I began to focus on my health and wellness has been to always operate at an "elevated sense of being", taking care of my mind, body, and soul. I believe that when my emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions are aligned I unleash the ability to be my greatest self, to operate at my full potential, and manifest everything I ever imagined. Being a mom to my baby girl, Zylah, and a wife to husband, Isiah #DopePelotonDude are my top two favorite things of all time, but if I don't take care of me I can't pour into them - the time I set aside each day to say Yes or Yes , in the words of Ally Love, to myself - is EVERYTHING! Peloton- the instructors, the content, and the community that comes with it allows me to tap into each dimension from the comfort of my own home and with ease. I have to say I am obsessed! I drink all of the Pelo Kool-aid and fill everyone I surround myself with a cup too!
A recent fitness achievement I'm proud of: In October of 2020 I gave birth to my first child, my sweet babygirl. Prior to becoming pregnant I worked very hard to get into the best shape of my life mentally and physically to bring life into this world, and now that I have done it I am excited to work back towards redefining that in this new phase of my life, but this time around with the objection being to just show up as my best self, navigating the postpartum journey.
My most frequently taken class: Yoga! But Strength and Cycling are catching up!
My advice to other Peloton Members: It's all about balance and taking the time to do what makes you feel good
My Favorite...
Instructors: Jess Sims, Chelsea Jackson Roberts, Tunde, Ally Love, Cody Rigsby
Recovery day class: Slow Flow Yoga
Class playlist genre: R&B and Hip-Hop
Post-workout snack: Apple-cinnamon rice cake with almond butter, banana, and blueberries
Time to work out: Early afternoon, so that I'm showered before its time to get dinner ready and I can just relax in bed after my babies night time routine.
MONDAY
60 min Bike Bootcamp with Jess Sims
45 min Two-for-One Yoga with Chelsea Jackson Roberts and Denis Morton
Monday mayhem! It’s literally on my mind from the moment I wake up! I’m brushing my teeth and thinking about how intense my workout is going to be later. (I actually think about it on Sunday, too.) I wrap up my final meeting of the day around 4 PM, make sure my six-month old has everything she needs to spend the next hour with daddy, and then at around 4:30 PM, I am pumped so I can attack my workout without any issues.
Jess Sims was off for a while, and this will be her first Bike Bootcamp back, so I just know it’s going to be spicy! We’re starting with 15 speed intervals … *eyeroll* But when “Ape Sh*t” by The Carters comes on, I’m locking in and ready to conquer the Bike and floor! The sweat’s dripping! It feels amazing. With about 15 minutes left, Jess has to listen to her body, and the class ends. I’m about Jess, but my adrenaline is still going, so to switch it up, I’m doing a 15-minute strength to round things out.
Right after my Bike Bootcamp, I do the live two-for-one yoga with Chelsea and Denis! I’ve been waiting for live yoga to come back, as the studio was being remodeled. This class is everything I didn’t know I needed—their synergy is amazing! The playlist was, as well. Prior to today, I’ve never taken a yoga class with Denis, but now I’m adding him to my lineup!
TUESDAY
30 min Bike Bootcamp: Lower Body with Tunde Oyeneyin
15 min Core Strength with Adrian Williams
5 min Lower-Body Stretch with Adrian Williams
I scheduled myself for four classes, but I didn’t get to the 20-minute HIIT Cardio class because my work day is getting the best of me. But now that that’s done, I’m ready to let go of all of my stressors during this 30-minute Bike Bootcamp with Tunde! During class Tunde says, “Set a standard for your hustle! Not a goal, a standard!” And after that I’m totally locked in. The AMRAP, in total Tunde fashion, is really hard: eight cleans, eight squats, eight single-count reverse lunges. She then says, “You’re gonna feel that tomorrow!” I’m yelling at the screen! “You think!?” Haha! Tunde is such a beast, and she makes me feel like a real badass every time we clip in together.
I also made myself a promise to do core at least three times a week, so I’m following the Bike Bootcamp with a 15-minute core strength with Adrian. Ouch! In the middle of class, he’s calling for him mom … and I’m feeling that, too! I want my mom—holy burn! I’ve never done ankle touches with weights before. Craziness!
I’m finishing up my stack with a 5-minute lower-ody stretch...I need to stretch more after my workouts, and something’s telling me I don’t need to rush today—well, actually, Adrian just said so at the end of my strength class, so I’m obliging. There’s nothing like being in a frogger stretch dripping sweat … and then Adrian’s voice, that’s all I need in life! I’m glad I’m taking the time to stretch.
WEDNESDAY
30 min Morning Yoga Flow with Chelsea Jackson Roberts
20 min Barre with Ally Love
Morning yoga with Chelsea! This first forward fold is everything I needed today! We’re doing breathwork instead of sun salutations—there’s something about Chelsea’s voice that just makes the day great. One breath, one movement! After the warm up, we’re getting into a flow starting with high arms, then trident arms and then back to high arms … now we’re hinging at the hips and throwing our fingers back … and repeat! It feels amazing. Chelsea always reminds me to stay anchored and grounded! This class is a great way to get through the hump of the week.
Fast forward to the evening. After a nice work day and before dinner, I’m making sure to open the Peloton App for a barre class. Ouch, ouch, ouch! The burn and shake in my legs is unreal and satisfying at the same time! If it wasn’t for this playlist, I don’t know if I would be making it through class right now. At first, barre was not for me, but it has really grown on me, and I now look forward to my Wednesday night class!
THURSDAY
30 min 90s Pop Ride with Ally Love
10 min Arms & Light Weights with Ally Love
10 min Core Strength with Selena Samuela
Today is my 75th ride! Spice Girls on the track! I feel great! The walk, jog and run progressions in Ally’s ride are a great way to start the day. After the ride, I keep my promise of wrapping up rides with an arms & light weights class, especially because I’m not planning on doing a full strength class today. These three-pound weights are killers, man! We’re doing some shadow boxing, and as we wrap up, I can barely put my weights back in the rack behind me.
Now I’m wrapping up my stack with a 10-minute core strength with Selena. There’s a nice circuit, including some standing core! We ended with mountain climbers, which always make me cringe … but in a good way. (I just really do not enjoy mountain climbers.)
FRIDAY
Flash 15 with Jess Sims
20 min Tabata Ride with Hannah Frankson
10 min Core Strength with Rebecca Kennedy
Flash 15s are always a killer! We’re starting with 8 and 4 this week—the “lucky numbers.” But we’re doing 11 and 7 by the last set: devil’s press to an offset push-up and then bent-over rows to deadlifts. I’m a little slow at first, but then I get my head in the game. Before I know it, we’re clapping it up for the last round.
Next up is my 20-minute Tabata ride with Hannah Frankson! I just love her vibe—you cannot listen to Hannah and not smile. I just started taking Tabata classes after doing the Train Smart Collection, and I now make sure I do a Tabata class at least once a week. Hannah says, “What do you do when I go silent? Be your own cheerleader!” This moment is when I lock in and hit a new PR!
To finish off my workout, I hit a 10-minute core strength with Rebecca Kennedy! This class is all standing core moves. At one point on Peloton’s Instagram, I saw a post about standing core classes, and was like, “I need those.” Sometimes crunches and mountain climbers are just not what I want to do. I learned that standing bird-dogs are kind of crazy! I can’t get my balance at first. I’m so glad I’m in the comfort of my home, because it’s a struggle. But I did it.
SATURDAY
Today is my rest day from my Pelo-schedule! We’re hiking this morning, and my plan is to do a meditation at the top of the mountain … but I can’t get any service! I also want to do a 15-minute The Weeknd stretch with Jess Sims, but might not get to it. My streak will be ruined, but that’s ok!
SUNDAY
60 min Feel Good Ride with Ally Love
5 min Post-Ride Stretch with Ally Love
This is my second 60-minute ride, and I hit a PR! The class has both fast cadence and heavy resistance. Ally knows exactly what to say and when to say it. It’s crazy how a 60-minute ride goes by faster than a 30-minute ride! Ally gives us riddles and ties them in with great motivation. I love it! It pumps me up. She says in class, “They may not want to see you win! Good thing my life isn’t centered around them!” And I’m like, “Yesss!” Even though it isn’t Sundays With Love, Ally still has a gift of preaching what I need to hear. She also has a way of saying things I don’t want to hear, like while we’re doing a rolling hill toward and end of the ride—she says add 20! I’m thinking, “I didn’t hear her correctly!” But Kenrick Lamar is playing, and I just do it, and I am able to do it! Pretty sure I died and came back … but I came back. Drenched in sweat, I wrap up my week with a 5-minute post-ride stretch with Ally.
