Peloton Rental arrives in the UK for a flexible fitness experience
New flexible way to experience the Peloton Bike+ with no long term commitment
Research underscores the rise of the ‘rental lifestyle’ with nearly two thirds of the population now renting goods and services
Today, Peloton announced that consumers across the UK can rent Peloton’s award-winning Bike+, commitment-free for a single monthly cost of £99 and a one-off joining fee*. Peloton Rental, which has seen success in the US, Canada, and Germany provides a more accessible and convenient way to experience Peloton.
Consumers who opt to rent can discover thousands of Instructor-led fitness and wellness classes across 16 different modalities, live and on demand, including Cycling, Strength, Running, Yoga, Meditation, Outdoor Content, and more. Peloton has millions of Members globally and its combination of innovative software, hardware, and content enables Members to connect with one another wherever they are on their fitness journey.
Research demonstrates the rise of rental
New research** from Peloton reveals that Britain is becoming a nation of renters with almost two-thirds (64%) of the population embracing its flexibility, simplicity, and affordability - with one in five of the population viewing the rental market in a positive light. This lifestyle is especially popular among young Brits, with almost half (45%) of 25-34 year-olds agreeing that renting ‘improves their quality of life’ by giving them access to services without the stress of long-term commitment and a wider variety of choices.
In addition, the research revealed:
A quarter (25%) of Brits say renting is convenient and allows them to access services without committing to a large investment
Entertainment is the most popular type of rental with almost two-thirds of renters (64%) stating they rent movies, TV shows, music, and books
Exercise has strong appeal for rental, with more than half of Brits (52%) saying they would be interested in engaging with regular exercise if there were no strings attached

How Peloton Rental works
As part of the monthly Peloton Rental fee, which includes the All Access Membership, Members can access class content via the Peloton Bike+ and take Peloton with them on the go with Peloton App+ access. Members may also have the opportunity to purchase their rental Bike+ with pricing dependent on the time at which the hardware is purchased. In addition, new Peloton Members have the freedom to cancel their rental agreement and return the Bike+ for no extra cost at any time.
